At least 35 dead in attacks around Paris

At least 35 people are dead following shoot-outs and explosions in three separate locations in central Paris.

Around 100 people have also been taken hostage at a Paris theatre, police say.

At least 35 people are dead after a series of attacks in Paris
Police have reported a shootout in at least two restaurants and two explosions near the Stade de France stadium
Around 100 hostages are also reported to have been taken at Bataclan concert hall
French TV station BFM reported incidents had taken place in the 10th and 11th arrondissements and near the Stade de France
France and Germany were playing an international friendly match at Stade de France
Le Figaro newspaper reported French President Fran├žois Hollande had been evacuated from the stadium

Hollande calls emergency cabinet meeting on Paris attacks

French president Fran├žois Hollande has called an emergency cabinet meeting at midnight following the attacks in Paris, Reuters reported.

Images show police on patrol at the Stade de France and crowds leaving the stadium on the outskirts of Paris.

It comes after explosions were heard outside the stadium.

An international football friendly between France and Germany had been taking place at the stadium.
Report: Terrorists take 100 hostages at Eagles of Death Metal concert in Paris

Music venue Bataclan was among four venues targeted during coordinated terrorist attack

The city of Paris was stricken by a series of terrorist attacks on Friday night. The latest reports have at least 60 dead and many more injured.

Among the targets, the music venue Bataclan, where Eagles of Death Metal were performing a sold-out concert this evening. Police believe terrorists are holding 100 hostages inside the venue.

According to CNN, witnesses from inside the venue say there are between six to eight attackers, who are currently engaged in a shootout with police.

Eagles of Death Metal is the collaboration between Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. Homme did not join the band for their European tour, however.
