As for Portugal, choking with underdogs as always.

Almost all the golden generation retired and with the worst manager in 10 years, it can only get worse.

Almost bye bye, Brazil.

Spending time in Croatia in times of stormy weather is not advisable for Serbian's.

Their Hellenic brethren were also blown away by a southern breeze.

I watched the TV pundits give their analysis of the England-San Marino game, I was not disappointed, it was a cracking work out for England.

Anyone fancy a Turkish meal later?

If Finnish players had a bit more of everything, we might just be the next world champion. Big Grin

Basically the whole picture of the match: Spain is making passes on the edge of the Finnish goal area and everyone is waiting. Big Grin

Then a few lucky counter-attacks. One of them succeeded this time. And needless to say, the result was something extremely great for the sad thing called "Finnish football". ;)

Work out? More of a stroll in the park against the last-but-one world ranking team in the world.

I was really happy when I saw the result. Not that I watched the match, but Spain's choice of tactics is a disgrace. They and Greece are the opposite extremes of the same spectrum, really.

We must dissent.

Spain national team = Barcelona + Real - stars.

They try a lot the style of endless Barcelona passing gameplay waiting for a breach to pass to... Messi. But there's no Messi, just the always offside David Villa.

So they mix it with Real Madrid style of playing, which is all-out-attacking and anxiously charging until it breaks... but the bulls they use to do this, Ronaldo, Higuaín, Benzema, Khedira, etc, are all playing for their national teams.

It's not that they haven't raw material to build good defences, they have basketball world champions. It's that they keep believing that attacking is all it takes and God will do the rest, but world cup bid deals with Russia won't be up forever and even Finnish football will work, just wait for counter-attacks.

One used to win without attacking, other without defending... Big Grin

Yes it was, but they still had to put goals in the back of the net and not get injured or booked, the team performed well as a unit, this was not a proper game of football as we all know. The test will be on Tuesday where England will be tested at pace.
