RE: Iceland considers pornography ban
Kamerad, there isn't a GREAT deal of speech in the material we're talking about...

The whole idea of 'free speech' is that we have the right to express our political and social dissent without fear of prosecution. As Arawn said above, there's nothing stopping anyone stating their opinions in a pornography ban. It's just a restriction of things we are legally allowed to watch and see, or at least sell. There's laws against selling video of all kinds of nasty obscene and sadistic stuff that isn't classified as porn - would you defend that too?

ONly the USA enshrines 'free speech' in its Constitution, anyway. It simply doesn't exist in our other countries, except as a lie from the rulers or misunderstanding from the ruled.

"And now if a whole nation fell into that? In such a case, I answer, infallibly they will return out of it. For life is no cunningly-devised deception or self deception, it is a great truth that thou art alive, that thou hast desires, necessities: neither can these subsist and satisfy themselves on delusions, but on fact. To fact, depend on it, we shall come back: to such fact, blessed or cursed, as we have wisdom for."
Thomas Carlyle

I don't understand the word "speech" literally in this case. Free Speech means the free expression of every opinion you could have.

You can't ban porn without a technical infrastructure. The same infrastructure can be used for censoring political pages. Do you really want to take this risk?

And, when we are on the topic of obscene or sadistic stuff: We are living in a bad world. Some people have sadistic sexual fantasies. What's better? When they masturbate about a sadistic video with actors who play such stuff or when they rape women in reality?

Just call it FEMEN and saggy-tit porn becomes political and thus protected speech.

As far as the political message is concerned Larry Flint is far more political than all FEMEM hyenas in the world will ever be.

Perhaps because the loudest "female-oriented protests" are mostly organized by cultural-marxist feminsts and are targeting our traditional culture(s) and values? I mean, this is a nationalist forum after all.

In so far I would call that cultural Marxist Femist groups very dangerous. Because they work together with other powers on the destruction of the values that made up European society.

I'd rather extend this argument and say it's harmful for both parties (sexuality without partnership). It isn't always the case with porno-viewers (who probably constitute a large part of the population), but I've seen it happen.

Maybe women's goal isn't to control men? Do you think that is what I'm like? Or any of the other female members of the forum? Do you understand how alienating this is?

Quote:If they wouldn't hate men, they wouldn't be Femist.

I'm going to be bold.

I'm a feminist and I don't hate men. I like men, a lot. They're nice blokes, most of them. But sometimes things happen in our society which I'm not going to take. The only way to get changes is not to sit on our hands but to do something about it.

I think what you're confusing is some feminists with others. There is no capital-F Feminism and we don't have secret knitting circle meetings where we discuss strategy.

As it happened in my city, and I was there at the walk, I think I know what happened. I didn't actively participate, but I agreed with their cause.

And since when does nationalism focus solely on the wants, needs and desires of men only? Feminism and nationalism are not incompatible.

Just because in the older times women sat at home and weren't allowed to do anything and were thought of as lesser people by our forefathers doesn't mean that we have to perpetuate that now. We don't have to keep every single little bit about our 'traditional culture and values', especially if it denigrates one half of our people.

In one breath, you call it ineffective. In the next, you say that they destroy European values. Decide.

RE: Iceland considers pornography ban
I don't know if I am for this.

Porn isn't my thing, but it can actually help some couples who have problems in the bedroom (and since porn is not a drug, it's safer than viagra). I've even heard of doctors recommending porn, before going the viagra or cialis route.
