Unacceptable Nazi rhetoric in Czech Republic

Tomio Okamura, the leader of the right-wing populist Czech parliamentary party Úsvit, has called on the Czechs to "stop buying from Muslims" in view of the threat Islamism represents. In its online edition the liberal weekly Reflex harshly admonishes the politician, who has Japanese, Korean and Czech roots: "Any variation of the Nazi slogan 'Don't buy from Jews' is completely unacceptable. Czech society shouldn't tolerate it. ... A Muslim who sells kebabs on Prague's Wenceslas Square in no way poses a threat to us. Immigrants who settle here, integrate, learn the language, work, care for their families and earn money aren't a danger to us. ... The migrants who foment racist, ethnic and religious hatred are a risk. But a xenophobic MP is just as much of a threat for our country as a xenophobic Muslim." (07/01/2015)

Not in haunts of marble chill,
Temples drear where ancients trod,—
Nay, in oaks on woody hill
Lives and moves the German God.
