Wouldn't surprise me if he did. Primo de Rivera was really one of a kind, inspiring respect and admiration even in his most conspicous ideological and political opponents, such as the CNT leaders (large anarchist movement prior and during the Civil War).

Source seems unreliable, though... this would be all over the news agencies if true but this is not the case.
