RE: Socialist Art
A couple of months ago when Kim Jong-Un was doing the 'secret wife' thing the press here was speculating it was the singer of this song, titled 'Excellent Horse Like Lady' (Big Grin). It turned out it wasn't her but some other korean girl (I guess it's hard to tell, all rook same ;)).

Synopsis - 'excellent horse like lady' works in the textiles factory, exceeds quota, is employee of the (month? year?), gets flowers, everyone dances in the street. I think it was a #1 hit Big Grin
whatever you think of the music, I can't say there isn't something about the message compared current western charttoppers dunno

^ "Excellent horse-like lady", eh? That should be your new custom user title. Tongue

I like to look at the human self-model as a neurocomputational weapon, a certain data structure that the brain can activate from time to time.

Otherwise yes, but the flimsy, revealing attire (plus no bra) seems off. Btw what's the deal with the serial number on the underside of her arm?

In Shi Xinning's artworks, Chairman Mao appears as an otherworldly and vaguely sinister, but also strangely pitiful, witness to important events in the West. With his enigmatic little smile, Mao is content to watch from the sidelines as the West rushes towards self-destruction.

I hope the position of the Chinese flag above all is symbolic of Chinese national superiority. Or does it mean such Chinese support of the yanks is impossible, like the impossibility of the Mao ones?

But then again, isn't that the Vietnam veterans brigade? I dunno...

Well the beauty of it is that it is open to interpretation, I suppose.

"And now if a whole nation fell into that? In such a case, I answer, infallibly they will return out of it. For life is no cunningly-devised deception or self deception, it is a great truth that thou art alive, that thou hast desires, necessities: neither can these subsist and satisfy themselves on delusions, but on fact. To fact, depend on it, we shall come back: to such fact, blessed or cursed, as we have wisdom for."

This is a fragment from the first soviet sci-fi movie Aelita: Queen of Mars made in 1924 (!).

A group of unruly Russkies arrive on Mars and quickly organize a revolution. Aelita is obviously in love with one earthling communist. I am not sure what to make of her three-cup brassiere… Smile
