For women it is always a good idea to have one hand in a pocket and a high-grade taser in the hand. For the last 20 years I use a kubotan as a keyring pendant. It is legal, highly effective and - if used the right way - immediately lethal.

Not in haunts of marble chill,
Temples drear where ancients trod,—
Nay, in oaks on woody hill
Lives and moves the German God.

Groped between the legs and a firework thrown into a hoodie: Victims reveal horrifying details after attacks by Cologne 'African and Arab' sex mob as police say they are gang of distraction

Two more Cologne victims describe being sexually assaulted and attacked
One, Jenny, suffered severe burns when a firework was shoved in her hood
Similar attacks also occurred on New Year's Eve in Hamburg and Stuttgart
Police have admitted they fear it was part of a known criminal enterprise
Fear it was a professional gang who sexually assault women as distraction
Cologne town centre has been called a 'no-go area' by its own city council
There are now fears the upcoming carnival will be scene of similar assaults

Europe 1 title on their site: "Sexual assaults in Cologne: Germany fears the rise of racism"

It is as surrealist as "Crematoriums in camps: Germany fears an impact on the Global warming".

This immigrationism is totally silly.

I've seen pictures of the demonstration people in Cologne held shortly after the incident. It was a demonstration against racism and sexism. Tongue

Well, now I know for sure that Germany is incurable ...

RE: Germany Yes
Here the chattering classes are more worried about citizens patrolling their own streets than organised sexual violence (seems 6 Iraqi asylum seekers were detained preemptively as they were planning something similar to what happened in Cologne) even if the citizen patrols haven't actually done anything illegal or reprehensible so far (that we know about). Even self-defense is bad:

RE: Germany Yes
What happens on the right-wing platforms and in chatrooms is at least as awful as the acts of those assaulting the women. This is poisoning the climate of our society.
-Ralf Jaeger, interior minister for North Rhine-Westphalia

There’s always the possibility of keeping a certain distance of more than an arm’s length — that is to say to make sure yourself you don’t look to be too close to people who are not known to you, and to whom you don’t have a trusting relationship.
- Henriette Reker, Mayor of Cologne

Quote:A few kilometers away, in the "Multi Kulti" center in the neighborhood of Mülheim, several women have gathered in an attempt to work out what measures should be taken to make the streets of Cologne safe again.

"No one is talking about the fact that this is happening to women every day," Tanja, an activist and one of the initiators of the event told DW.
Köln Hauptbahnhof

Most of the attacks took place in and around the main station in Cologne

"People are insisting on making this a political story, trying to shift the focus on pro- or anti-refugees. But in fact, no one is listening to what we have to say - the women who have been suffering from this violence in the streets on a daily basis long before refugees even came here," she says.

The violence on New Year's Eve was not different from that during any other big-scale celebration in the city, according to Tanja. "Because refugees are now a burning topic, the media all of a sudden report about these events, but what nobody wants to admit is that these things happen all the time. I'm sorry to break this to you, but German-born men also harass and rape."

Germany is "The Walkind Dead" in form of a country. One of the craziest whacko places in Europe. I hope you guys finally understand the suffering of us German posters (myself included by place of residence).

Also, does anyone remember that Reker was elected shortly after some right wing guy tried to stab her in (I think it was) summer 2015? Frankly, the people of Cologne get what they deserve.
